Restarting My Blog in 2026
After a long hiatus — my last proper post was back in 2022 — I’m restarting this blog.
Life got busy (as it always does), and the blog quietly slipped down the priority list. But I’ve decided it’s time to change that.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the value of maintaining a personal blog. A big inspiration for me recently has been Simon Willison .
Simon is a strong advocate for regular blog posting, calling it a superpower for developers and knowledge workers. He argues that consistently writing in public helps you:
- Clarify your own thinking
- Build a personal knowledge base
- Share what you’ve learned with others
- Create opportunities and connections
His consistent blogging over many years is living proof of how powerful this habit can be.
I plan to post more regularly from now on — mixing technical content (information security, software development, IT, and tutorials) with lifestyle topics I enjoy, such as:
- Travel experiences (especially from Hong Kong and beyond)
- Food and culture
- Motoring and car-related thoughts
Some posts will be deep technical dives, others will be lighter — trip reports, reviews, or random observations.
This is post #1 of a new chapter. I’m committing to writing more consistently, even if the posts aren’t always perfect.
If you’re reading this — thank you. I hope you’ll find something useful or interesting here.
Stay tuned.
